SAVANNAH PARVATI
Communications Director & Integral Yoga Instructor
Savannah is the Communications Director of Princeton Yoga Community Center, and a Certified Integral Yoga Instructor registered with Yoga Alliance. With a background in dance and gymnastics, Savannah started practicing yoga at a young age in 2010, when a dance instructor of hers utilized Salute to Sunrise in their warm ups. She instantly fell in love with the fluidity of yoga, and the challenge of incorporating breathe work into her movements. Ten years later she attended a yoga class at PYCC, that opened her up to the mental and spiritual aspects of yoga known as Integral Yoga. Integral Yoga showed her that yoga is so much more than just a physical form of exercise, but that every asana has a positive effect on the body, and that sequencing these poses can bring you into a meditative state. She fell in love with yoga even deeper this time, and sought out her teacher training from PYCC. She now teaches Level 1, Multi Level, and Level 2 Yoga at PYCC, as well as private instruction, where teaching and practicing yoga has helped her feel the best she has ever felt both physically and mentally. Savannah's goals as an instructor are to make yoga feel inclusive for everyone, encourage her students to be playful in their practice, and to help students find that the physical practice of asana renders mental, emotional, and physiological wellbeing.
