​Board of Trustees

​The Princeton IYCC Board of Trustees

​PYCC is a 501(c)(3) charitable service organization. The trustees serve without any compensation, working to keep the organization true to its mission, make sure the administration is handled effectively, and help to make sure the organization is funded sufficiently to serve and pursue its goals. Each of the trustees gives generously of their time, expertise and financial support to the benefit of all who are touched by PYCC’s many services.

​Margaret Patricia ‘Patty’ Schorr, President

​Patty has a BA in English from Boston College and an MEd in Guidance and Counseling. She retired after 24 years as a teacher/administrator at Stuart Country Day School and continues there as a regular substitute.  She served on the boards of Princeton Academy and the Village Charter School in Trenton. She was a founding trustee of STEMCivics Charter High School in Trenton and served as the board chair. She is a member of the Church of Saint Ann where she is a Eucharistic Minister.  She is a member of the Lawrenceville Woman’s Club where she serves on the Mary Darwin Heath Scholarship Committee.  Patty is a certified yoga instructor and a student of the Bhagavad Gita.  She is married to retired Army Colonel Dave Schorr and they have 4 children, 12 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. She enjoys tennis and golf.

Ronald Cohen, Teasurer

​Ronald Cohen is currently a Director of web401k, a retirement services company, where he has worked for over 25 years. He is also the Manager of the PYCC, one of the directors of Yoga Teacher Training, and a principle instructors at PYCC.  He has a Bachelors of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland, and Masters degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University.

​Ryan ‘Hanuman’ Coulter

​Ryan ‘Hanuman’ Coulter, RYT 500, holds a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charter and has over nine years of experience working in the financial services and investment management industry. He graduated from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce in 2007 with a BS in Commerce (with concentrations in finance and accounting).  He teaches regular hatha yoga, pranayama and meditation classes at PYCC and in the surrounding Princeton area. He has been influenced by a range of spiritual traditions and has been blessed to study under numerous teachers such as: Rev. Jaganath Carrera (Raja Yoga, Triaxial Yoga), Shyamji Bhatnagar (Nada Yoga, Microchakra Psychology), Paulie Zink (Yin and Yang Yoga), Swami Tadatmananda (Vedanta, Meditation) and Adyashanti (Meditation). Ryan also completed his Basic Yoga Teacher Training, Advanced Yoga Teacher Training and Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training programs through PYCC under the direction of Jayadeva Mandelkorn, Ron Cohen, Andrea Sacchetti and Sandi Merrill.

​Vasu S. Iyengar

​Vasu S. Iyengar has worked as a serial entrepreneur, responsible for setting up successful companies spanning 3 continents (North America, Europe and Asia). He is the Chief Innovation Officer of MedAZ.net, a wholly owned subsidiary of Koni Ameri Tech Services, Inc. Vasu has more than 22 years of experience in Executive Management, MIS, Systems and Data Processing Experience, with experience on a wide variety of legacy, client-server and Internet based applications. He is co-inventor of ‘Method & Device to transfer medical data in an emergency.’ His education includes an Executive MBA from Georgia State University, and Post Graduate Diploma in Software Technology, Master in Science with Electronics Major, and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Technology. Vasu began a serious yoga practice in 2010 and has found yoga particularly healing for both body and mind.

​Jayadeva Mandelkorn

​Jayadeva Mandelkorn is the Founder of the Integral Yoga work in Princeton and its current Director. He is a Stanford University alumnus and a senior disciple of Sri Swami Satchidananda who was the Founder of Integral Yoga International. Jayadeva began teaching yoga in January 1969 at Stanford University. For several years prior to his full-time work in yoga for the past 25 years he was a Certified Financial Planner and NASD licensed broker. He managed the New Yoga Integral Yoga Institute and directed the Integral Yoga Teacher Training there before relocating to Princeton in 1999. He has trained hundreds of excellent yoga teachers and played a role in developing the Integral Yoga Teacher Training.
